PreLive Kick-off meeting

With great joy and enthusiasm, the inaugural meeting of the project "Development of a Precise & Innovative Breeding System for Dairy Cattle" with the acronym PreLive was held. The project is co-funded by the European Union and national resources through the Operational Program "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation (EPAnEK)" and the Action "RESEARCH-CREATE-INNOVATE" (Project Code: T2EDK-00600).

The PreLive project focuses on developing a holistic system for precision livestock farming of dairy cattle using Precise Primary Production Management methods. Besides improving milk production, the project is expected to have a positive impact on various aspects such as early disease detection and calving conditions. Innovative cutting-edge technologies like IoT sensors and thermal cameras will be leveraged for project implementation.

All participating stakeholders took part in the kick-off meeting. We presented and discussed the project as a whole, as well as each work package and deliverable separately. Moreover, a detailed schedule of the immediate actions to be undertaken in the coming months was established.

The atmosphere during the meeting was filled with inspiration and creativity, with the team collaborating closely and sharing ideas, knowledge, and perspectives for the project. Each member expressed their willingness to contribute in the best possible way to the successful implementation of PreLive.
